We have many puppies who use the product. The biggest thing to keep an eye out for is tolerability. A good general rule of thumb is if a dog can tolerate egg yolk, they will be fine with MYOS. The advantage of our product is that there are no medications or chemicals: MYOS Muscle Formula has only one ingredient, called Fortetropin, which is derived from fertilized egg yolk. Most owners tend to want to know how much protein is in our product, which would be 1 gram per scoop. Our recommended dose is 1 scoop for dogs up to 25 pounds and 2 scoops for 26-50 pounds. For reference, 6 grams (two canine scoops /6 feline scoops) are about the equivalent of 1 egg yolk. It is about equal to a tablespoon. Since our dosing is measured by weight, transferring to a tablespoon is close but may not be 100% exact. If you choose to start, we recommend introducing it slowly over the course of a week or so until they reach the full recommended dose. Consider beginning with 1/4 the recommended dose and ramping up over 5-7 days to the recommended dosage. Base the dosing on the current weight and increase if they move into the next dosing size based on weight.
